Adams Considers Less Restrictive Medical Marijuana Bylaw

wikipedia.org

Adams, Massachusetts is now considering a less restrictive medical marijuana bylaw than what has been discussed.

The town had originally discussed banning medical marijuana dispensaries downtown.

But Mission Massachusetts is making headway in getting state approval. The medical marijuana company has a letter of non-opposition from the town to open a dispensary next year.

State law mandates a dispensary has to be at least 500 feet away from anywhere children regularly go – although a town bylaw changing that to 100 feet is being considered.

It’s unclear if Mission Massachusetts, or any other marijuana outlet, will sell recreational marijuana in the future.

The town will hold a public meeting when a draft of the bylaw is finalized.
