Albany Police Nab Skateboard Mugger

An arrest has been made in an assault case involving an Assistant Albany County District Attorney. 

32-year old Vincent Stark was beaten with a skateboard during an early evening robbery in downtown Albany on January 8th. Police arrested 17-year old Zamari Coffin on assault and robbery charges.  He was arraigned Wednesday morning and sent to Albany County Jail. 

Stark suffered a crushed skull and remains hospitalized.

The investigation is still ongoing and police say more arrests are possible.

In 2012, Dave received a Communicator Award of Distinction for his WAMC news story "Fail: The NYS Flood Panel," which explores whether the damage from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee could have been prevented or at least curbed. Dave began his radio career as a “morning personality” at WABY in Albany.
