US World Cup Fans Have A Ball At The Biergarten

Mike Allinger

Around the country Thursday afternoon, offices emptied out as Americans took an extended lunch break to cheer on the men’s national soccer team. In Albany, the hottest spot for soccer fans has become Wolff’s Biergarten in the downtown warehouse district. During the World Cup, thousands have come and gone — with the intensity rising for U.S. games. WAMC News Intern Mike Allinger was there to capture the sounds of the match.
