Times Union - McEneny backs Sheehan for Albany mayor

Kathy Sheehan

ALBANY — Former New York State Assemblyman Jack McEneny has endorsed Albany city Treasurer Kathy Sheehan's bid for mayor, saying the city needs a new beginning after two decades under the leadership of Mayor Jerry Jennings.

The Albany Times Union reports that McEneny, who retired in May after two decades representing the city in the assembly, cited the deterioration of some city blocks and pointed to Sheehan as the kind of person who has the energy and willingness to reach out to all community members to reverse the city's trajectory.
