The exhibition, "Gathering Light: The Art of Stephen Hannock" will be up at the through October 21 at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center.

The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is an independent, non-collecting museum housed in former train stations, with the old ticket windows still intact. The station was built in 1915 and re-opened as the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center in 1972.

Stephen Hannock was born in Albany, New York, and is currently based in North Adams, Massachusetts. His work is included in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the National Gallery of Art, among many others. His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad.

The show at BMAC features 25 works -- paintings, drawings, prints, and photographs -- spanning the past 33 years of the Stephen Hannock’s creative output, as well as a wall installation and Process Room.

We are joined by the artist himself, Stephen Hannock, and Danny Lichtenfeld, Director of the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center.
