Increasing clouds with rain showers moving in during the afternoon today. Highs near 60.Rain tonight, mixing with and changing to snow before sunrise near the Canadian border, across the western Adirondacks and toward central New York. Lows in the mid to upper 30s.

Rain tomorrow, gradually changing to wet snow from late morning through late afternoon. All snow near the Canadian border, across the western Adirondacks and toward central New York. All rain in the mid and lower Hudson Valley and Connecticut Valley. Temperatures falling through the 30s during the day.

Total accumulation by the end of the day Thursday: 

  • 6-10" in the western Mohawk Valley, western and northern Adirondacks, and northern Vermont
  • 3-6" in the northern Catskills, I-88 corridor, eastern Mohawk Valley, upper Hudson Valley, southern Adirondacks, Champlain Valley and central Vermont
  • A coating of up to 3" in the greater Capital District, southern Vermont, southern Catskills, Berkshires, Taconics, and Litchfield Hills
  • No accumulation in the mid and lower Hudson Valley and Connecticut Valley
