Albany Police say four people, including two teenagers, were injured in two separate shootings on Sunday. Police first responded to the area of South Pearl and Westerlo Streets around 3 a.m. for reports of shots fired. Shortly after, staff at Albany Medical Center notified police that a 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman had entered the emergency room with gunshot wounds to the leg and back, respectively. Police determined they had been shot during the South Pearl Street incident, and both were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

That night, shortly before 10 p.m., Albany Med notified police that two 15-year-old boys had entered the emergency room with gunshot wounds to the legs. Police say an investigation found both boys were shot while on State Street by Eagle Street. They were also treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the investigations for both shootings are ongoing — anyone with information is asked to contact the Albany Police Detective Division at 518-462-8039.
