For the Northern Adirondacks and Central and Northern Vermont as well as the Champlain Valley and Lake George area:
Today: Partly cloudy skies this morning with clouds increasing by the late afternoon. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 30s with a light east southeast wind.
Tonight & tomorrow: mostly cloudy skies with lows falling into the mid to upper 20s. Sleet will mix with snow in the Lake George area developing between 3 and 6 am, before transitioning to rain showers after 9 am. Meanwhile north and east of the Lake George area expect snow and sleet to develop between 4 and 7 am. Sleet will transition to rain by 10 am. Minor accumulations are possible under an inch. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30s Saturday with a light southeast wind becoming west by afternoon.
For the Connecticut Valley and mid and lower Hudson Valley as well as for the remainder of interior Southern New England:
Today: Partly cloudy skies will give way to mostly cloudy skies by this evening. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s with a light southeast breeze.
Tonight & tomorrow: mostly cloudy skies will give way to rain after midnight. Rain showers will carry over to tomorrow morning, eventually dwindling by 11 am. Highs will reach the upper 30s to low 40s with a light southeast wind becoming northwesterly.
For the Northern Catskills & Mohawk Valley West of Amsterdam as well as for the Southern Adirondacks:
Today: Partly cloudy skies will give way to increasing clouds by late in the day. Highs will reach the upper 30s to low 40s with a light southeast wind.
Tonight: mostly cloudy skies with lows in the lower 30s. Some sleet is possible after midnight tonight, before transitioning to rain before sunrise. Lows will be near freezing.
Tomorrow: rainfall will taper after 11 am. Highs will be in the mid 30s with a light southeast wind becoming west around 10-15 mph.
For the Southern Catskills, Taconics and Southern Berkshires, as well as for the Litchfield Hills:
Today: Partly cloudy skies will become mostly cloudy by this evening. Highs today will reach the upper 30s to lower 40s with a light southeast wind.
Tonight & tomorrow: mostly cloudy skies give way to areas of rainfall developing between midnight and 3 am. Lows will fall into the mid 30s. Rain will carry over to Saturday morning and taper to showers by noon. Highs will reach the low 40s with a northwest wind around 5-10 mph.
For the Greater Capital District, as well as for the Saratoga area east to Southern Vermont and the Berkshires North of I-90:
Today: Partly cloudy skies with increasing afternoon clouds. Highs will reach the upper 30s and low 40s with a light southeast wind.
Tonight & tomorrow: mostly cloudy skies with lows ranging from the low 30s to freezing. Expect rain to develop from Albany points east between midnight and 3 am. Sleet could mix with rain north of Albany to Saratoga Springs and sleet and snow will mix in Southern Vermont. Any areas seeing mixed precipitation or wet snow flakes will see a transition to rain around sunrise. Rain showers will continue Saturday before tapering around noon. Highs will reach the mid to upper 30s with a west wind around 5-10 mph.
