Albany, NY – Chicago-based market research firm ShopperTrak released figures this week showing retail sales from November through last Saturday rose two and a half percent from last year. Shoppers have spent almost $32 billion online thus far, a 15 percent increase from 2010.

While these reports have given U.S. markets an ounce of hope for a more speedy recovery next year, retailers may not be out of the woods just yet. The final week before Christmas, which includes four of the top 10 holiday shopping days, can account for up to 20 percent of sales for the season.

Today on Vox Pop we want your take on holiday shopping and the economy, and we want to know how you've been shopping this holiday season?

Do you think the economic recovery will get the momentum it needs to lift the nation back into prosperity from this holiday season, or is it a flash in the chestnut roasting fire? WAMC's Ray Graf hosts.
