Albany, NY – Independent filmmakers continue to produce eclectic pieces of art focusing on issues and people that often get overlooked by the mainstream film industry. While a demand for independent films certainly exists - as evidenced by the dozens of films picked up at this year's Sundance film festival - numerous challenges stand in the way of the people who wish to make more of them.
