Albany, NY – A federal judge has issued a temporary injunction against the most controversial parts of a tough new Georgia immigration law that was set to take effect Friday, but most of the law's provisions are still intact. Federal District Court Thomas Thrash Jr. said the state was attempting to write immigration laws that would pre-empt federal statute.
