Albany, NY – U.S. Senator Charles Schumer is calling for the creation of a "do not ride" list for Amtrak. The list would be similar to the no-fly list that's meant to keep suspected terrorists from flying into or out of the country. Schumer is also calling for increased funding for rail security. It all comes in the wake of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan that uncovered plans to attack trains in the U.S. The question is, given some of the shortcomings displayed by the no-fly list meant to keep terrorists from boarding commercial jets, will a no-ride list be any more effective?
