Springfield, MA – A federally funded multi-million dollar effort to remove blight, reduce housing density and expand green space is underway in one of the oldest sections of Springfield Massachusetts.. City officials and residents of the South End neighborhood hope the plan will revitalize the area that was the 20th century destination for the craftsmen and artists that built Springfield WAMC's Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill reports
