"Nick and Jake: An Epistolary Novel" and so much more.

In Nick and Jake: An Epistolary Novel

, it’s 1953 and Nick Carraway and Jake Barnes, refugees from Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises begin a correspondence that leads to a close friendship, and widens to include a bizarre cast of characters.

The book by Tad and Jonathan Richards, has been recorded as a theatrical audio books featuring the talents of Alan Arkin, Ali McGraw, Ambassador Joe Wilson, Valerie Plame and many others.

Tad Richards in addition to being an author, is the artistic director and former president of Opus 40. He joins us in studio now and by phone we have Ambassador Joe Wilson - former United States diplomat best known for his 2002 trip to Niger to investigate allegations that Saddam Hussein was attempting to purchase yellowcake uranium.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
