Shared-Use Path On Mario Cuomo Bridge Is Open

A shared-use path across the Hudson River that has been years in the making opened Monday. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the 2 p.m. opening on the bridge named for his late father.

A newly formed Toll Advisory Panel that will review toll rates on the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge held two listening sessions this week. The New York State Thruway Authority hosted the first session in Westchester Wednesday. WAMC’s Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne attended the second session in Rockland County Thursday.

New York State Department of Transportation officials say work is nearly completed on the replacement of two critical bridges on one of the busiest stretches of highway upstate.  The $22 million project in the town of Colonie is on track to be finished by the end of the month.
