The New York State Attorney General’s Office released police body-camera footage on Wednesday from the night Marcus Burks died after being pepper-sprayed, tased and restrained by police.

The family of a Newburgh man who died during a New Year’s Day encounter with police after a pursuit ended in a crash is concerned by the narrative of events laid out in a police report they recently received.

The city is conducting its own internal investigation into the incident.
