Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper recieved the most votes for the MLB all star game.

MLB:  Nick Pivetta allowed one hit in seven impressive innings for his second major league win, and the Philadelphia Phillies stopped the New York Mets' four-game winning streak with a 7-1 victory. Maikel Franco had a two-run double in a four-run second aided by a pair of sacrifice bunts. Rookie catcher Andrew Knapp added an RBI single and dashed home from second on a wild pitch by Rafael Montero.

Mookie Betts hit two home runs and matched a career-high with eight RBIs to help the Boston Red Sox rout the Toronto Blue Jays 15-1. Betts went 4 for 6 as AL East-leading Boston won for the sixth time in seven games, completing the three-game sweep.

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper and New York Yankees rookie outfielder Aaron Judge were the top vote-getters in their respective leagues for next Tuesday's All-Star game at Miami. Harper picked up more than 4.6 million votes in the fan balloting, while Judge picked up almost 4.5 million. Judge, Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa and Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado (ar-eh-NAH'-doh) are among 12 first-time starters, the most since voting was returned to the fans in 1970.

NBA: A person familiar with the situation says the Chicago Bulls have agreed to a $9 million, two-year contract with guard Justin Holiday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract cannot be signed until Thursday.

It looks like another banner year for baseball's top rookies, with Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger and Ben Gamel making quite an impression. Judge and Bellinger are leading their leagues in home runs, and Judge is also second in the American League batting race nine points behind Gamel.

A person with knowledge of the situation says the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to terms with shooter Kyle Korver on a three-year, $22 million contract. The agency that represents Jodie Meeks says the free-agent shooting guard has agreed to join the Washington Wizards. And the Houston Rockets have worked out another contract with Nene, one day after an initial agreement was voided because it violated the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The Denver Nuggets have been chasing starry veterans the last two years, determined to add experience and firepower to a promising young core. They finally landed a big one Sunday, agreeing to terms with four-time All-Star Paul Millsap on a three-year deal worth $90 million, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract cannot be signed until Thursday. Millsap gives the young Nuggets a proven veteran who should fit perfectly with coach Michael Malone and budding star Nikola Jokic. Millsap averaged a career-high 18.1 points last season to go with 7.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He is versatile offensively and is one of the NBA’s most underrated defenders.

Kyle Lowry is staying home, saying he wants to finish what he started in Toronto. Lowry announced on The Players' Tribune site Sunday that he will re-sign with the Raptors, adding that it was an easy decision. Lowry will sign a three-year deal worth $100 million, according to a person with knowledge of the negotiations who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because terms were not revealed publicly.

Two-time MVP Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors agreed to a five-year deal worth more than $200 million, the richest in NBA history. Curry is the first NBA star who will sign a supermax contract, the crossing of a $200 million threshold that eventually will become the norm for the NBA's biggest superstars.

PGA: Kenny Perry claimed his second U.S. Senior Open, pulling away from Kirk Triplett at Salem Country Club to finish at 16 under and win by two strokes. The 56-year-old Perry closed with a 2-under 68 for a record score of 264. Perry also won the event in 2013 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Kyle Stanley parred the first playoff hole to beat Charles Howell III and win the PGA's Quicken Loans National in Maryland. Stanley managed to go up-and-down for par in the playoff after Howell missed a 21-foot putt to win on the final hole of regulation. Both players closed with 4-under 66s that left them 7 under for the tournament.

LPGA: From a young age, Danielle Kang's parents instilled in her the belief that anything was possible. Even major championships. Kang birdied the final hole to win the KPMG Women's PGA Championship on Sunday for her first LPGA Tour title, edging defending champion Brooke Henderson. Kang bogeyed the tricky par-3 17th, and Henderson closed with two birdies to move into a tie for the lead, coming up just short on a 30-foot eagle putt on the par-5 18th. But Kang responded with two solid shots to get to the green in two, and then two-putted for the victory.

NHL: Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price has accepted an eight-year contract extension that runs through 2025-26. Price helped the Canadiens win the Atlantic Division title last season, recording a 2.23 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage in 62 games. He won the Hart Trophy as MVP and Vezina (VEH'-zih-nuh) Trophy as the top goaltender in 2014-15 when he led the NHL with a 1.96 goals-against average and .933 save percentage.

Kevin Shattenkirk grew up a New York Rangers fan in suburban New Rochelle, so he knows all about the pressure of playing for his hometown team. Still, that's what the offensive-minded defenseman wanted, and the most coveted player available on the opening day of free agency turned down a bigger offer elsewhere to sign a four-year, $26.6 million deal with the Rangers on Saturday.
