NBA:
The NBA's No. 1 seeds opened their playoff schedules with a win by the Golden State Warriors and a loss by the Boston Celtics. The Warriors pulled out a 121-109 win over Portland as Kevin Durant provided 32 points and 10 rebounds. Jimmy Butler scored 23 of his team-high 30 points in the second half and finished with nine rebounds as the Bulls downed the Celtics, 106-102 in Boston.
Meanwhile Houston topped Oklahoma City 118-87 and Washington beat Atlanta 114-107.
The Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets have opened their NBA playoff schedule with wins. John Wall scored 15 of his playoff career-high 32 points in the third quarter and finished with 14 assists as the Wizards posted a 114-107 decision over Atlanta. James Harden poured in 37 points, handed out nine assists and grabbed seven rebounds in the Rockets' 118-87 dismantling of Oklahoma City.
Jazz center Rudy Gobert has been diagnosed with a left knee hyperextension and bone contusion. The injuries occurred just 17 seconds into Saturday's playoff opener against the Clippers in Los Angeles. The team says he will continue to be re-evaluated. No timetable for his return was given.
NHL:
In the Stanley Cup playoffs, Alexander Radulov had a goal and an assist to lead Montreal to a 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers on Sunday night, giving the Canadiens a 2-1 lead in the first-round playoff series. Meanwhile St. Louis beat Minnesota 3-1, Pittsburgh topped Columbus in overtime 5-4, and it was Edmonton over San Jose 1-0.
The St. Louis Blues and Pittsburgh Penguins have a three-games-to-none lead in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Jake Allen turned back 40 shots and Jaden Schwartz scored the tiebreaking goal to lead the Blues past the Wild, 3-1. Jake Guentzel capped his first career hat trick by scoring 13:10 into overtime to complete the Penguins' 5-4 victory at Columbus.
Ottawa takes on the Bruins in Boston tonight at 7 p.m. The series is currently tied at 1 game apiece.
MLB:
In Major League Baseball, the Yankees tripled up St. Louis 9-3, Miami topped the Mets 4-2, and Boston won against Tampa Bay 7-5.
Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez has left the game favoring his left leg after rounding second base on Mitch Moreland's go-ahead single in the seventh inning against Tampa Bay on Sunday. The team announced he was bothered by a left hamstring cramp.
The Rays and Reds have lost starting pitchers. Tampa Bay' Jake Odorizzi has been put on the 10-day disabled list because of a strained left hamstring. Odorizzi left his last start Saturday after one-plus inning, but manager Kevin Cash doesn't expect to be without the right-hander for very long. Left-hander Brandon Finnegan became the fourth Cincinnati starting pitcher to go on the disabled list and is expected to miss at least a month because of a strained left shoulder. Finnegan lasted just one inning of the Reds' 7-5 win over the Brewers on Saturday. He joins Rookie Davis, Homer Bailey and Anthony DeSclafini on the DL.

The 121st running of the Boston Marathon starts today at 8:50 a.m.
PGA:
Wesley Bryan has become a first-time winner on the PGA Tour by capturing a tournament on his home turf. The South Carolina native closed with a 4-under 67 to win the RBC Heritage by one stroke over Luke Donald at Hilton Head. Bryan was four shots back heading into the final round before moving into contention with four consecutive birdies on the front nine.
Stephen Ames has earned his first PGA Tour Champions victory by taking the Mitsubishi Electric Classic. The 52-year-old Ames closed with a 6-under 66 for a 15-under total and a four-shot win over Bernhard Langer. Ames won for the first time since taking the 2009 Children's Miracle Network Classic, the last of his four PGA Tour titles. Langer fired a 65 after beginning the final round in a tie for 21st place.
