#SportsReport: 71 Years Later, First World Series Berth For Cubs

MLB:

Tomorrow marks Game One of the World Series featuring the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians. It’s the Cubs first appearance in the World Series since 1945.

Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein says he won't rule out the return of Kyle Schwarber for the World Series. Schwarber was ruled out for the year after he tore two knee ligaments in an outfield collision with Dexter Fowler in Chicago's third game of the season. The outfielder/catcher has been working out with the Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League.

Indians manager Terry Francona says he will start Corey Kluber in Game 1 at Cleveland. The right-hander is 2-1 with a 0.98 ERA in his first postseason. Francona has right-handers Trevor Bauer and Josh Tomlin penciled in for Games 2 and 3, respectively.

Rashad Jennings scored on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter to give the Giants a 17-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams in London. The winning score was set up by a London Collins interception, one of two for Collins and four by the Giants off of Rams quarterback Case Keenum.

The Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins saw their four-game winning streaks come to an end.
