NBA:

In the NBA Finals, Golden State bested Cleveland 108-100 in overtime to take Game 1.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says taxpayers would pick up half the cost of a $500 million arena for the Milwaukee Bucks under a financial deal that would rely on current and former team owners for the rest. Walker has said it will cost the state more in lost income-tax revenue if the NBA team leaves Milwaukee than it will to pay for a new downtown arena.

Legal:

A Boston judge has set a tentative date of December 1st for jury selection in the double murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez. He's accused of shooting two men to death in 2012 after a chance encounter at a nightclub. NHL:

Former NHL coach Ron Wilson is taking over the United States Junior National team for next year's world championships. His 648 wins split over 18 seasons with Toronto, San Jose, Washington and Anaheim rank eighth on the NHL coaching list. Wilson was born in Canada but grew up in Rhode Island, and has previous ties to USA Hockey.
