Celtics forward Jared Sullinger will miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in his left foot. Sullinger is the leading scorer and rebounder on the Celtics roster this season, with 14.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He's in his third season with Boston since being selected from Ohio State in the first round of the 2012 draft.

NHL:

Over on the ice, the Rangers edged Columbus in a shootout 4-3, Boston tripled up Chicago 6-2, Vancouver blanked the Islanders 4-0, Philadelphia skated by Washington 3-2, Pittsburgh topped Florida 5-1, Nashville beat Buffalo in a shootout 2-1, Minnesota bested Dallas 6-2, and it was Colorado over Tampa Bay 5-4.

An NHL jersey worn by Hall of Fame defenseman Eddie Shore has sold for $119,500. Shore's Boston Bruins Number 2 jersey was sold to an unidentified collector from New York on Saturday night. Previous owner Scott Johnston had planned to frame the jersey and hang it up before he found out how much it was worth.

NASCAR:

Joey Logano has earned his first Daytona 500 victory, finishing just ahead of reigning Sprint Cup champion Kevin Harvick and defending Daytona 500 champ Dale Earnhardt Jr. Logano took the lead following a restart with 19 laps remaining and held on after a two-lap sprint to the finish. Pole sitter Jeff Gordon led a race-high 87 laps in his final Daytona 500 but was involved in a last lap crash involving several cars.

NCAA:

In men's college basketball, UConn snapped a two-game losing streak with a 67-60 win over Tulane yesterday. Amida Brimah scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked four shots. Ryan Boatright added 16 points for the Huskies.

PGA:

James Hahn has won the Northern Trust Open in a three-man playoff with Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey.

Hahn clinched it with a 25-foot birdie putt on the third extra hole for his first PGA Tour title and a trip to the Masters. He saved par on the 18th in regulation for a 2-under 69 and a 6-under total.

New Zealand's Lydia Ko was a winner in her second start as the top-ranked women's golfer, shooting a final-round 2-under-71 for a two-stroke victory over South Korea's Amy Yang in the Women's Australian Open. The South Korean-born Ko was 9-under on the composite course at Royal Melbourne.

Formula 1:

Fernando Alonso was taken to the hospital by helicopter after crashing his McLaren during Formula One preseason testing.

McLaren said in a statement that the two-time world champion "was conscious and spoke with the doctors" after having received first aid at the circuit's medical center. It was later learned that the Spaniard suffered a concussion when he went off the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit at turn three, and the right-hand side of his car hit the wall.

The 33-year-old Alonso rejoined McLaren this season after a disappointing fifth and final campaign with Ferrari.

MLB:

San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy has rejoined the team, three days after having a heart procedure. The 59-year-old had two stents placed near his heart on Thursday night and told reporters he "couldn't feel any better."

Bochy said he didn't feel good for much of the winter. After he took his annual spring physical on Wednesday, the team medical staff monitored him and suggested further tests on Thursday.
