MLB:
Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez spent the last two seasons as NL West rivals. Now they're teammates, signing with the Boston Red Sox as free agents for a combined $183 million to try to boost Boston out of the AL East cellar. They were introduced at Fenway Park yesterday.

ESPN is reporting that according to a team source, the Washington Redskins have decided to start Colt McCoy over Robert Griffin III on Sunday when they face the Indianapolis Colts.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi has set a new Champions League record by scoring his 72nd goal in a match against APOEL. Messi broke the record in his 91st match. It took former Real Madrid and Schalke striker Raul 142 matches to set the previous record of 71.
