WAMC Sports Report: Game 2 Of CBI Championship At Siena's ARC

Siena starts game 2 of the CBI championship series at 7 p.m tonight against Fresno State at Siena in the ARC, a first in 17 years. Siena won Game 1 61-57 on Monday in Fresno.

In the women’s NCAA tournament, the Final Four is set. No. 2 Stanford beat No. 4 North Carolina 74-65 and will head to the Final Four against the undefeated No. 1 UConn on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. No. 4 Louisville defeated No. 3 Louisville 76-73 consequently earning them a game in the Final Four with No. 1 Notre Dame on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has agreed with the Washington Redskins. Jackson will join Washington on a three-year deal.

In the American League, Houston bested the Yankees 6-2, Toronto topped Tampa Bay 4-2, and Seattle defeated the Angels 8-3. (Due to rain, Cleveland vs Oakland was postponed).

In Interleague play, Texas trumped Philadelphia 3-2.

In the National League, the Dodgers edged San Diego 3-2, Miami slid past Colorado 4-3, Atlanta beat Milwaukee 5-2, and it was Arizona over San Francisco 5-4.

In professional hoops, Brooklyn outshot Houston 105-96 clinching an NBA playoff berth, Golden State squeaked by Dallas in overtime 122-120, and Portland defeated the Lakers 124-122.

Over on the ice, The Rangers beat Vancouver 3-1, Toronto topped Calgary 3-2, the Islanders trumped Florida 4-2, Buffalo skated by New Jersey in a shoot out 3-2, Carolina edged Pittsburgh 4-1, Tampa Bay defeated Montreal 3-1, Winnipeg bested Phoenix in a shoot out 2-1, Dallas blanketed Washington 5-0, St. Louis beat Philadelphia in a shoot out 1-0, Colorado topped Columbus in overtime 3-2, and it was San Jose over Edmonton 5-4.
