Last night’s NCAA tournament announcements had a few regional college teams heading to the dance. The America East Conference Champions, UAlbany, will go against Mount Saint Mary’s, a Maryland team, in the first round on Tuesday at 6:40 PM in Dayton Ohio, on truTV. The winner will face No. 1 Florida on Thursday. No. 3 Syracuse will go head to head with No. 14 Western Michigan on Thursday at 2:45 PM in Buffalo on CBS. No. 6 UMass will face the winner of the Iowa/Tennessee game on Friday. No. 7 UConn vs No. 10 Saint Joseph’s on Thursday at 6:55 PM in Buffalo, on tbs. On March 20th, No. 13 Manhattan will face off with No. 4 Louisville at 9:50PM in Orlando on TNT.

The Top seeds went to Florida, Arizona, Wichita St., and Virginia.

In men’s college hockey No. 1 Union College will face No. 4 Cornell in the ECAC Hockey Semifinals this Friday at 4:00 p.m. in Lake Placid. This comes after Union’s shut out in the quarterfinals this weekend against Dartmouth.

In the NBA, New Orleans slid past Boston in overtime 121-120, Phoenix defeated Toronto 121-113, Charlotte bested Milwaukee 101-92, Miami topped Houston 113-104, Dallas beat Oklahoma City 109-86, Minnesota out shot Sacramento 104-102, It was San Antonio over Utah 122-104.

In the NHL, San Jose beat the NY Rangers 1-0, Montreal trumped Buffalo 2-0, Philadelphia defeated Pittsburgh 4-3, and Washington edged Toronto 4-2.
