The Boston Celtics beat the Utah Jazz 110-107 last night. Paul Pierce scored 26 points, including seven straight in overtime. He had a chance to win it in regulation, but his 19-footer at the buzzer rimmed out. Denver topped the Lakers 119-108, ending a four-game winning streak for L.A. Washington beat Toronto 90-84 and Atlanta edged ahead of Detroit 114-103.

Checking the NHL, Toronto doubled up Philadelphia 4-2. Ottawa defeated Montreal 2-1 and Nashville beat Dallas 5-4.

In top 25 college basketball, No. 6 Kansas beat Iowa St. 108-96 and 13th ranked Kansas St. won against Texas Tech 75-55.

Indiana stays No.1 for the fourth straight week and Gonzaga moved to No. 2 for the first time in the school’s history. They face Brigham Young Thursday night.

In Baseball spring training action, a Boston Red Sox split squad beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2. Baltimore bested the Yankees 5-1. Washington defeated the Mets 6-4 and Seattle beat the Angels 9-8.

In the NFL Combine, Manti Te'o's first appearance on a football field since the BCS championship game didn't go very well. Te’o clocked at 4.82 seconds in the 40-yard dash. An NFL Network draft analyst said on Sunday anything 4.8 or over would be a "concern."

A person familiar with the contract tells The Associated Press on condition of secrecy that Tom Brady has received a three-year extension from the Patriots, but he’ll be making far less than most other star quarterbacks do. Brady currently has a four-year, $72 million deal with $48 million guaranteed. The new contract is worth about $27 million.
