Knicks Acquire Felton, To Decide On Lin Tonight

The New York Knicks announced yesterday they've acquired point guard Raymond Felton in a sign-and-trade with the Portland Trailblazers.  The Knicks have not announced, however, their decision to match Jeremy Lin's 3-year $25.1 million offer sheet from the Houston Rockets, or to let the point guard walk. According to ESPN.com's Mark Stein, the Knicks have until 11:59pm tonight to decide whether to match the Rockets' offer sheet to Lin.

The Cincinnati Reds will spend the next three to four weeks without first baseman Joey Votto, who will undergo surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left knee. The 2010 National League MVP hurt the knee in late June but kept playing until an examination on Monday revealed the tear. Votto leads the NL in doubles, walks and extra-base hits, while batting .342.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is free on bond after he was arrested on a misdemeanor family violence charge. Bryant turned himself in Monday afternoon to police in the southern Dallas suburb of DeSoto. His attorney says Bryant posted $1,500 bond after learning a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
