Before that, she worked at the Financial Times and Bloomberg News. She's written about the pioneering of new asset classes like time, billionaire's proposals to solve inequality and diversity and discrimination in the finance industry. Before all that, she was also a Watson Fellow, spending a year traveling the world painting portraits. She graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, with a degree in business journalism and an honors thesis comparing the use and significance of media sting operations in the U.S. and India.

Nick Fountain produces and reports for Planet Money. Since he joined the team in 2015, he's reported stories on pears, black pepper, ice cream, chicken, and hot dogs (twice). Come to think of it, he reports on food a whole lot. But he's also driven the world's longest yard sale, uncovered the secretive group that controls international mail, and told the story of a crazy patent scheme that involved an acting Attorney General.

Andrew Waite is WAMC’s news director. His journalism career dates to 2009, when he was a cub reporter for community newspapers in Montana and Alaska. He has since worked as an editor at the inflight magazine for Seattle-based Alaska Airlines and as the featured news columnist for The Daily Gazette in Schenectady. Andrew has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University, an MFA in creative writing from Pacific University and is a proud Albany High School graduate. He's honored to be back home helping to cover news in the Capital Region, where he lives with his wife, daughter and son.

Peter Hughes is the Producer for WAMC On The Road, the live event and community engagement program for WAMC Northeast Public Radio. He was previously the Thomas Edison Local Music award-winning producer/presenter at The Linda, WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio. He has worked for three decades in the production, presentation, and promotion of the arts and from Broadway theatre, to live music to cinema having put his stamp on the creative direction of various organizations across the Capital District of NY, from The Park in Glens Falls, Talmi Entertainment in Pittsfield, Capital Repertory Theater in Albany and Proctors in Schenectady, for whom he served for 22 years. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar and banjo, illustrating, oil painting, and collecting nerdy memorabilia of all kinds. He is a father of three very cool children and lives in Colonie, NY, with his wife Rebecca, their dog Groot, and their cat Patch.

Greg Dixon is a senior producer with NPR’s International Desk and host of NPR‘s daily international news podcast, State of the World. Based in Washington, DC, he assists in the operation of NPR’s 16 international bureaus, supporting overseas correspondents in audio production, logistics and finances.
