Even though the city will be under a snow emergency, polls will be open in Troy on Tuesday for a $56 million school building project.

The Troy City School District says its modernization project would upgrade most of its buildings and buy property owned by The Sage Colleges on 5th Avenue to house the Troy Community School. The district says the project would be financed without impacting the current tax levy.

Polls are open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If the referendum is approved, the district says construction would begin in the summer of 2021 and continue into 2024.
