Over the weekend, The Voice's Sawyer Fredericks joined WAMC's Wanda Fischer on the Hudson River Sampler to talk his new album, his time on The Voice, his roots in the region, and perform a few of his songs too.
A local teenager was crowned the winner of NBC’s reality competition show The Voice. Sawyer Fredericks of Fultonville was awarded a million dollar recording contract and a brand new car. The 16-year-old shook up the Capital Region with his singing talent on the national program and even became an icon for residents, who threw him a homecoming parade earlier this month.
