The Toronto Raptors had their franchise-record winning streak stopped at 15 games with a 101-91 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

The defending NBA champions were hoping to keep rolling right into the All-Star break but couldn't find the form that helped them average 121.2 points and shoot 50% over the previous 15 games. This time, the Raptors hit only 37.8%, with Kyle Lowry's triple-double coming on a night the All-Star point guard was just 4 for 13. Caris LeVert scored 20 points for the Nets, who ended a six-game losing streak against the Raptors. That included a loss Saturday in Toronto, where LeVert scored a career-best 37 points.

Julius Randle led the Knicks with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Elfrid Payton scored 19, RJ Barrett added 16 and Mitchell Robinson had 11.

LeBron James' 12th triple-double of the season and Anthony Davis' hot hand led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 120-116 overtime win at Denver. The Lakers snapped the Nuggets' four-game winning streak and take a four-game lead in the Western Conference over second-place Denver into the All-Star break. Jamal Murray scored 32 points for Denver but Nikola Jokic was in foul trouble late in the game and had some big turnovers and missed shots down the stretch. The Nuggets had their four-game winning streak snapped.

The Indiana Pacers took advantage of a 10-0 fourth-quarter run to snap a six-game losing streak with a 118-111 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. T.J. Warren had 35 points and Malcolm Brogdon had 17 points and 13 assists to lead the Pacers. Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo missed his second straight game since his girlfriend gave birth to the couple's first child. The Pacers scored 10 straight and the Bucks couldn't get closer than seven as their five-game winning streak ended. Donte DiVincenzo scored 19 for Milwaukee.

Trae Young led the Hawks with 27 points and 12 assists.

Luka Doncic had 33 points and 12 rebounds in his return from a seven-game absence because of a sprained ankle, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 130-111 victory over the Sacramento Kings. Doncic added eight assists in the All-Star starter's final game before the All-Star break. It's the second time Doncic has missed games with a sprained right ankle. Kristaps Porzingis had 27 points and 13 rebounds with his fellow Euro star back. Buddy Hield scored 22 points for the Kings. Sacramento was never closer than 11 in the second half.

Devonte' Graham scored 28 points and Malik Monk added 25 to lead the Charlotte Hornets to a 115-108 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bismack Biyombo had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Charlotte, and Miles Bridges scored 20. The Hornets rallied from a double-figure deficit to spoil D'Angelo Russell's home debut with Minnesota. In men's top-25 basketball, Moses Wright made a huge block at one end, then powered inside for a basket that helped Georgia Tech pull off a 64-58 upset of No. 5 Louisville. The loss snapped the Cardinals' 10-game winning streak. Louisville lost for the first time since early January with a truly dreadful offensive performance against the Yellow Jackets. The Cardinals never led, hitting just 19 of 56 shots from the field. That included a 3-of-24 brickfest beyond the 3-point arc. Jordan Nwora, the ACC's leading scorer at 19.5 points per game, was held to a season-low 2 points. Trailing 53-51 with under 2 minutes to go, the Cardinals took off on a two-on-one fast break that seemed certain to produce the tying basket. David Johnson went up for the apparent lay-in, but Wright came out of nowhere to block the shot. The officials did a lengthy video review to make sure it wasn't goaltending, finally awarding the ball to the Yellow Jackets. At the offensive end, Wright got the ball near the foul line, drove for the hoop and dropped one in to extend Georgia Tech's lead with 55-51 with just over a minute left. He finished with 12 points. Louisville had one more chance to force overtime, but Lamarr Kimble stumbled driving into the lane, losing the ball for the last of the Cardinals' 16 turnovers. Georgia Tech jumped all over the Cardinals right from the opening tip, racing to a 12-2 lead that prompted Louisville coach Chris Mack to call a timeout just 3 1/2 minutes into the game.

Devon Dotson scored 15 points and No. 3 Kansas finished the game with a 9-0 run to beat 14 West Virginia 58-49. The Jayhawks won for the ninth straight time and remain a game behind first-place Baylor in the Big 12. Isaiah Moss had seven of his 13 points after halftime for Kansas. Naji Marshall scored 20 points to lead the Musketeers. Tyrique Jones had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Xavier, his 17th double-double. Butler shot 47% and Xavier went 44% from the field. Bulldogs guard Aaron Thompson took an elbow to the head and went to the floor with Butler leading 42-25. He left the game and did not return.

Quentin Grimes scored nine of his 22 points in the final 3:28, helping No. 20 Houston hold off South Florida 62-58 in American Athletic Conference play. Grimes made six straight free throws and sank a 3-pointer that gave the Cougars some breathing room down the stretch to win the matchup between the top two defensive teams in the league. Fabian White scored 10 points for Houston, which led 45-34 before USF rallied to within 53-51. Grimes put the game away with help from DeJon Jarreau, who rebounded his own miss and layed the ball in for a 58-53 lead. Laquincy Rideau led USF with 21 points.

Markstrom got his second shutout of the season and fifth of his career. Corey Crawford finished with 17 saves as Chicago lost its season-high fifth straight.

In NHL news, St. Louis Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester remains hospitalized and is undergoing tests a day after suffering a cardiac episode and collapsing on the bench during a game in Anaheim. General manager Doug Armstrong says the 36-year old defenseman was unresponsive and a defibrillator was used Tuesday night. He says Bouwmeester regained consciousness immediately before being taken to an Anaheim hospital. The team stayed overnight in Southern California before taking a chartered flight to Las Vegas, where they will play the Golden Knights on Thursday.

The NHL and NHL Players' Association have scheduled another round of labor talks next week. One of the more pressing issues is whether the NHL elects to send players to compete in the 2022 Beijing Games after not participating in the 2018 Olympics in South Korea. The NHL remains reluctant to reverse course, despite Olympic officials providing assurances of being ready to lift various major stumbling blocks during a meeting that included NHLPA representatives.

A network spokesman confirmed to The Associated Press that Roenick will not be back on the air. Brad Miller and the St. Louis Cardinals agreed to a $2 million, one-year contract. The deal for the 30-year-old infielder includes $500,000 in available performance bonuses for plate appearances. He hit .260 with 13 homers and 25 RBIs last year for Cleveland and Philadelphia. Miller has a .241 average with 88 homers and 293 RBIs in seven major league seasons that included time with Seattle, Tampa Bay and Milwaukee.

SOCCER

The U.S. men's national team has urged the U.S. Soccer Federation to sharply increase pay of the American women, and accused the governing body of making low-ball offers in negotiations with the men. The union for the women's team filed a gender discrimination lawsuit against the USSF that is scheduled for trial starting May 5. The women agreed to a collective bargaining agreement in April 2017 that extends through 2021. The men's labor contract expired at the end of 2018. In a statement Wednesday, the men’s union said “In our estimation, the women were due at least triple what our expired deal was worth in player compensation.”
