The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will present a report on community involvement during the ongoing investigation into contaminated water supplies in Hoosick Falls at two meetings this week.

EPA will present its final Technical Assistance Needs Assessment report during a Town of Hoosick  board meeting Monday.  The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Hoosick Falls Armory on Church Street.

The report will also be presented at Tuesday’s village board meeting, that will begin at 6 p.m. at the village municipal building on Main Street.

EPA says the purpose of the TANA process is to “identify whether a community requires additional support to understand technical information and enable meaningful community involvement discussion during the Superfund decision-making process.”

Officials with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will also present on community engagement at the meetings.
