Brian Posehn is a well-respected actor, writer and standup comedian nowadays, but it wasn’t always such smooth sailing for the child of a Golden Gate Tip Topper (that’s a club for tall people). Growing up in northern California, Posehn grappled with a sometimes unstable home life, bullying in school, and obsessions with heavy metal, Star Wars, books and much more. It was not cool to be a nerd yet.
But Posehn eventually found his people. He’s appeared on “Seinfeld,” “The Sarah Silverman Program,” “Just Shoot Me,” “Mr. Show,” and several specials. His new book is "Forever Nerdy: Living My Dorky Dreams And Staying Metal." He’ll be in our region at Vermont Comedy Club in Burlington Feb. 7, 8 and 9.
