Aziz Ansari at The Palace on 5/14

    Aziz Ansari will be at The Palace Theatre in Albany, NY on Tuesday, May 14th at 8pm as part of this leg of his Buried Alive tour. This tour will result in his third hour-long stand-up special - the previous two being Aziz Ansari: Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening

and Dangerously Delicious.

In 2005, Rolling Stone named him their choice for "Hot Standup" on their annual Hot List, and he was also awarded the Jury Award for Best Standup at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen in 2006.

  

Aziz is also an actor, he currently co-stars as Tom Haverford on the NBC comedy, Parks and Recreation. Previous television credits include HBO’s Flight of The Conchords, Scrubs, and the MTV sketch comedy show, Human Giant. His film credits include Observe and Report, Funny People, and 30 Minutes or Less.

(We spoke with him last week - prior to this past weekend’s Food Truck Festival in Troy - which we mention for reasons that will become evident during the interview.)

Sarah has been a public radio producer for over fifteen years. She grew up in Saranac Lake, New York where she worked part-time at Pendragon Theatre all through high school and college. She graduated from UAlbany in 2006 with a BA in English and started at WAMC a few weeks later as a part-time board-op in the control room. Through a series of offered and seized opportunities she is now the Senior Contributing Producer of The Roundtable and Producer of The Book Show. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with actors, musicians, comedians, and artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing.
