The City of Albany is issuing a last-call for residents to complete the U.S. Census.
According to an update issued Wednesday by Mayor Kathy Sheehan, only 54.4 percent of city residents have been counted in the Census with one week left.
"Every single person that we don't count will cost us, over the 10 years of the census, $20 to $25,000."
Sheehan says neighborhoods with significantly lower responses this year in comparison to 2010 are: Sheridan Hollow, Ten Broeck Triangle, Arbor Hill, Warehouse District, Washington Sq., Beverwyck, West Hill, Sherman St. & Lexington Ave. areas, Downtown, Pine Hills, University Heights, Park South, Lincoln Park, South End and Pastures.
