New York State Police are investigating a fatal crash in northern New York involving a motorcycle and a deer.
New York State Police say 55-year-old Christian Martin of Quebec, and a female passenger, were traveling east on State Route 11 near Mooers late Monday morning when a deer entered the roadway from the south shoulder.
The deer landed on the motorcycle resulting in Martin losing control. Both riders were ejected.
Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The unidentified woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital in Plattsburgh.
