A reported suspicious device discovered on the side of an Albany County road was found to be a replica explosive.
Bethlehem police say East Poplar Drive near Woodridge Road in Delmar was shut down late Friday afternoon for about two hours as authorities examined the item. They say the device resembled an improvised explosive device.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Department and New York State Police assisted at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
