Police are probing a 911 call made by the wife of a Capital Region mayor.
The Times Union reports Cohoes police were called to the residence of Mayor Shawn Morse on Friday.
Morse’s wife, Brenda, reportedly told a dispatcher that her husband choked her and threw her to the ground. The newspaper says Morse initially reacted angrily when questioned about the incident on Saturday and that he later apologized. He denied any physical contact between he and his wife.
Cohoes Police Chief Thomas Ross said everything on the dispatcher’s report had been discounted and that nobody was hurt.
