Following a rally 1,500 strong in Albany's Lincoln Park Saturday, hundreds of climate activists descended on the Port of Albany to protest the crude oil trains frequently seen along the city's waterfront.

The protesters congregated in a fenced off area.

Two individuals halted one of the so-called "bomb trains" carrying North Dakota crude oil by suspending themselves from a railroad bridge over the Watervliet Reservoir in Guilderland.

CSX tells the Albany Times Union  train traffic was stopped for more than two hours.

Five people were arrested and charged in connection with blocking the train.
