State officials have completed the purchase of another piece of the 69,000-acre Adirondack land acquisition announced by Governor Andrew Cuomo last summer.

The 9,300 acres purchased Tuesday from The Nature Conservancy for $6.3 million includes scenic OK Slip Falls in Hamilton County as well as several wild parcels along the upper Hudson and Indian rivers. The land was formerly owned by the Finch, Pruyn timber company and was acquired by The Nature Conservancy in 2007.

The acreage also includes Casey Brook in Essex County; Spruce Point and the Saddles in Washington County; the Hudson Riverside Ice Meadow tract in Warren County; and the Indian River tract in Essex and Hamilton counties.

Additional purchases are planned over the next several years.
