The Pittsfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a robbery at a city gas station.
The Gulf Gas station at 186 Wahconah Street lies just past Pittsfield’s city center, in the shadows of the historic ballpark from which the street draws its name. On the night of February 17th, police say a masked man brandishing a knife entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. By the time the dust settled, the robber made off with the contents of the cash register, leaving the clerk with a small cut on one of his fingers. The suspect was described as a white or Latino male. The owner says the station was robbed in December, too. The Pittsfield Police Detective bureau is encouraging anyone with information on the robbery to contact them at 413-448-9705.
