Pittsfield Police have arrested a city man they say is connected to six armed robberies in the past month.Pittsfield Police Chief Michael Wynn says 30-year-old George Bliss was arrested on outstanding warrants Tuesday afternoon. Following Sunday night’s arrest of 35-year-old Heidi Bliss, police identified George Bliss as a suspect in the armed robbery of a Cumberland Farms January 24th. It was not immediately clear what their relationship is.

During questioning, police say George Bliss admitted his involvement in the armed robbery and five other robberies dating back to December. Bliss has been charged with six counts of armed robbery while masked. He is being held on $100,000 bail. Bliss  pleaded not guilty to the charges in Central Berkshire District Court Wednesday.

Police Chief Wynn says these six cases and other recent robberies remain under investigation. Police ask anyone with information to call 413-448-9705.
