Cheshire, Massachusetts is ready to put its master plan into action.
With the help of the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission, Cheshire has been developing a master plan to map out the town’s vision for the future. In 2015, the town allocated $25,000 to start the plan.
It created a Master Plan Committee to create a list of goals, including being named a Green Community by the state.
Officials say the town could get up to $135,000 from the designation to fund efficiency projects, and it could also help make Cheshire more competitive for other energy-related grant funding.
