Berkshire Residents Deny Storing Items In Suspected Family Burglary Ring

wikipedia.org

Two people have pleaded not guilty to charges in connection to a family burglary ring tied to more than 130 break-ins dating to 2010 and stretching from the Berkshires to Cape Cod.  Nancy and James Tarjick Sr. had not guilty pleas entered on their behalf in Berkshire Superior Court Tuesday. They were each arraigned on seven counts of possessing stolen items worth more than $250. The Tarjicks of Windsor, and their son James Jr., were arrested in January after police raided several Berkshire County locations where authorities say they found stolen items.

Police say another of the Tarjicks sons, Aaron, wore a court-ordered electronic monitoring device while out on bail during the break-ins. He is now in prison.

Lawyers for the elder Tarjicks both in their 60s, previously said they had no knowledge of the thefts and their home was simply a "dumping ground." They were released on personal recognizance.
