Weekend Storm To Bring Wet, Heavy Snow To Connecticut

wikipedia.org

A winter storm expected to hit Connecticut on Saturday could bring the first significant snowfall of the season.Meteorologist Bill Simpson of the National Weather Service in Taunton, Massachusetts, says the storm could drop half a foot of heavy, wet snow in parts of northern and eastern Connecticut. He says the Hartford area is likely to receive 3 to 5 inches of snow.

Simpson said temperatures will be close to freezing, making it difficult to predict exactly which areas are likely to receive more rain than snow.

The storm is likely to complicate travel over the weekend as the heaviest precipitation is forecast to arrive during the day on Saturday.
