A doctor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is in life-threatening condition after being shot twice inside the Boston hospital Tuesday morning.Boston Police say they received multiple calls reporting a shooting around 11 Tuesday morning. Commissioner William Evans says a male doctor was shot twice before police found the man believed to be the suspect dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the hospital with a gun beside him.
“We know he came into the hospital on the second floor asking for this particular doctor,” Evans said. “Why and for whatever reason – that’s something we are looking into.”
It’s not believed the shooter was a patient of the doctor. Evans says police secured the entire scene within 15 minutes.
