Barrington Stage's 2015 Season Features Comedy And Classics

Facebook: Barrington Stage Company

Pittsfield’s Barrington Stage Company has announced its 2015 season lineup which features a wide range genres mixed between plays and musicals.  Starting in June, a Civil War comedy, Shrek and Neil Simon’s Tony and Pulitzer-prize winning Lost In Yonkers are all bundled into the 21st season of Barrington Stage. Artistic director Julianne Boyd says this year has no theme and she’s just fine with that.

“When you get a group of characters who each want something different and you follow them through two hours its very, very exciting as you see all the pieces fit together and you see this great denouement at the end of a play or musical,” said Boyd.

More than 55,000 people attended last year’s performances, 40 percent of them coming from Berkshire County.

Season passes are currently available while single show tickets go on sale March 4th.
