Following the New Year’s Eve ball drop, thousands of people will ditch their party hats for a pair of hiking books to hit the trails in state parks across the country. It’s a tradition that started more than two decades ago in Massachusetts and for the fourth straight year First Day Hikes are being hosted in all 50 states.
