A man who shot in the leg Tuesday in a grocery store parking lot in Pittsfield, Massachusetts has died. The Berkshire Eagle reports it was an alleged marijuana deal gone wrong. Authorities are waiting on the results of an autopsy expected Friday.Twenty-nine-year-old Anthony Gamache, of Goshen, Massachusetts was shot around 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Big Y Foods parking lot on West St., according to the Berkshire District Attorney’s office. Gamache returned to his Goshen home after going to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton before being transferred and treated for a gunshot wound to his right leg at Bay State Medical in Springfield. Emergency personnel were called to his home Wednesday evening and Gamache was pronounced dead at Cooley Dickinson.
Peter Campbell, 18 of Pittsfield, has pleaded not guilty to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and other charges related to the shooting.
