With less than two weeks until their primary, three Republican U.S. Senate hopefuls in New Hampshire are arguing about who's been the most conservative and consistent during their political careers.
Former U.S. Senator Scott Brown, former state Senator Jim Rubens and former U.S. Senator Bob Smith faced each other in a debate Wednesday morning on WGIR radio. Rubens and Smith argued that Brown doesn't offer a crisp contrast with Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen and has changed his positions to appear more conservative ahead of the Sept. 9 primary.
Brown, the front-runner, responded that he is a lifelong Republican, unlike the other two who have flirted with third parties in the past.
Brown also said his record of legislative accomplishments as a Massachusetts senator was "second to none."
