Officials say Lake Champlain is now receding from near-flood levels never before seen in the middle of the summer.
At the Lake Champlain Transportation docks in Vermont's largest city, some of the lanes cars use to board the ferries on the Vermont side of the lake were still under water on Friday.
Lake Champlain Ferry Assistant Operations Manager Margaret Campbell says the lake is at a level usually seen in the spring, but they're operating their ferries normally.
Campbell says the rainy stretch hasn't greatly affected their business, but nice weather always helps.
The National Weather Service says the level of Lake Champlain is about 99.5 feet. It crested at 99.6 feet.
Flood stage is 100 feet.
